Some people also get bitter and jealous. Could be someone who lost their dog.
When my father was alive and he was battling cancer and went into remission for a short while I was super happy and shared the news with co-workers...one of them had lost his girlfriend to cancer about a year earlier... His reply was..."well ain't you lucky....why should he be able to get better?"
I couldn't believe it....just goes to show.
