Princess was definitely from a BYB, though I didn't know til after the fact, but I've been relatively lucky. I called a lady in the newspaper who didn't have any available but referred me to the lady I got her from (who was her friend??). I sent a very small deposit in after seeing one pic of her & her four sister's in an email. I got a couple more pics & pics of her parents that I found out were not really them later on. Wow, I was some what educated, yet the most naive buyer ever!
Long story short, she met me in my town as she was driving south & I handed her cash for Princess at 9.5 weeks. All of the bad signs were there, but I asked the questions I was told to ask & she had an answer for everything.
I wouldn't trade her for the world, but after just watching 'Madonna of the Mills' last night I hope I can keep my vow to only rescue in the future.
