It has been about a year since she's seen him. She may need to have some confirming done, too, to verify it's him. Not sure how that would be done, or how long it would take...she may have had to produce papers to prove he really was/is hers, etc., before they would let her take him...assuming that it really is him and this is not some horrific mix-up. Regardless, the waiting is dreadful...
