I don't really have any bad neighbors per say, thank God. However, there are some people in our cul-de-sac (and WE can't figure out who they are) that don't understand what it means to keep your cat up! It's different when you don't live in garden homes that are RIGHT next to each other and your cat has room to wander. But I am constantly cashing cats off my porch and off our cars. They drive the dogs nuts and crap on my porch!

Grrrr... How would they like it if I brought a big ole pile of Bassett poo to THEIR porch...? Bad thing is, they crap on my neighbor's porch too and she is pregnant. I know this is dangerous. I bought a live animal trap because I figured some of them were strays...no collars and no one we asked (which was everybody) would claim them. There was one that showed up a couple weeks ago that practically (LIVED) at our house. (Was sleeping on our porch...even when we would come home.) I'd never seen this one before. I HONESTLY thought he was lost. He even had the nerve to RUN in our house when we opened the door. Trixie went nuts, the cat hissed and swatted at her and took off through our house like a looney! My husband, being extremely allergic...ended up having to go the next day for allergy injections!

Long story short, we caught it and turned it over to the no-kill cat shelter. A few days later, signs for the cat showed up in the neighborhood that it was missing.

I put up signs under them that said "Check the no-kill shelter and keep your cat up!" They didn't care enough to pay attention to where it was, but loved it enough to put up signs?

The shelter is 15-min away, but they never went to get the cat...they just bought a new kitten!
