Yorkies have such keen senses, it's really hard to try and hide anything from them. But when the squeaking takes it toll on your brain, you have to do something.

Once after about an hour of continous indoor squeaking, I took a toothpick an damaged the squeaker. Well, she looked at me like her world had come to an end and ran off into the bedroom and would have slammed the door if she could have. It broke my heart so we went to the store and got her a new one .

Now I just open the back door and act like I throw it out and trick her long enough to hide it. I swear, she'll come back in the house and can smell that darned ball and knows right where it is. Well, we hide them in the frig now after a squeaking session so she can't smell them .
