My Necchi is a model 3102FB and on the stitch selector are 3 positions to complete a buttonhole. The first position sews forward, then you switch to the second position to make the stop point of the button hole, switch to the 3rd position on the selector to go backwards making the opposite side of the buttonhole, then finally to the second position to once again make the closing or stopping point for the buttonhole. Do you have the buttonhole guide foot?
