Recently this has been my favorite bread, although not really for a bread machine. I guess you could mix the dough in a bread machine but it has to be baked on a sheet pan.
This bread is wonderful with soups/stews. I will even use two sheet pans to get the dough spread out thinner (makes a thinner baked bread) so that I can use it with sandwiches. Also, I don't use quite as much oil on the pan, the recipe calls for 1/2 cup, and I use about 1/3 cup.

I was going to post on your bread machine thread and forgot. I've had a bread machine for at least 10 years now and haven't used it the past 6 years or so. For me, it's just easier to make bread the old-fashioned way.
