we already had extra white melamine shelving board in the garage, so we used that, not sure how much it costs? you could probably use any type of wood..... it was the exact height of my bed 23 inches tall, and it was 38 inches long.. then we cut triangles out of 2 of them to make the side shapes, each cut started 4 inches in on both sides. then i took this old skinny memory foam off my bed, cut it for the ramp board in the midde so she'd have something to grip under the fabric, stapled it onto it, put everything togethere predrilled the holes so the fabric wouldnt catch, the fabric was actually just blankets i got on sale at walmart for 10$ each, so it only cost me 30$ to make by using stuff around the house lol..and i'm sure you could find cheaper fabric then using blankets, i just wanted it to match my bedding,then we stapeled the fabric on all the back sides and then screwed it all together lol..i posted a diagram of how i measured the sides you could probably change the sizing to fit your bed..
