That is so true, they have this child like way about that is so endearing and they stay that way their entire lives.
Just their physical appearance alone brings out our protective and nurturing side. Their teddy bear eyes, their button noses and their small size is irresistible.
I have found that I am this way with most kittens and puppies....very protective and nurturing. It's just that yorkies maintain that puppy like physical appearance that last a lifetime. Even my 11 yr still looks like a puppy and is often mistaken for one.
