It helps to hold your furbutt on your lap and massage all over their body with your fingertips after they have been dried, and then run your fingers through the hair itself. Oddly enough, this stimulates the oil glands in their skin and they are more apt to help control their static hair naturally.

This works wonders on Brussels. He's not a Yorkie...has no Yorkie in him at all, but I would think all dogs have oil glands in their skin that help to naturally reduce static...so might be worth a try with Yorkies, too.
