ZoE is potty pad trained. (I like pads much better than newspaper as they absorb quickly and are plastic backed to protect your floors). I take ZoE's pads everywhere she goes. I've put them down in my son's dorm room at college, my daughter's apartment, bathrooms at friend's houses, in the truck of my car, and even on the ground outside, and ZoE knows to go on them.

She too doesn't know that it's ok to go outside. The first time she ever peed outside was Halloween night when we were outside for a few hours handing out candy....she was 11 months old! I praised her and gave her a treat...but still she's only ever peed outside one other time since then. She obviously prefers her potty pads, and as they are portable, I just always keep a few in my purse and car, so I have them when we are out & about.

Best of luck & Welcome to Yorkie Talk
