Don't forget the east side of the FL too. Saint Augustine, the oldest of just about everything in the U.S. to Daytona Beach just for the race track to the Space Center and Cocoa Beach (I Dream of Jeannie fame) to the Indian River Lagoon if fishing, Manatee/Sea Turtles and birding are your cup of tea. There are some nice smaller towns and great wildlife refuges. The Everglades, especially the southwest side well away from the Miami side. The Keys are not my thing too crowded expensive. Disney etc are OK. Could go on.
