Well...there is only so much you can do, you did what you could !
It's up to them to figure it out now.
They are in for a big, big surprise. I cant imagine why they would want another pup/dog when the first one isn't even trained. It's a very sad situation. I think they will be back knocking on your door asking for your help once again.
