Our old one was smaller, Some fool set fire to it a couple years back. We lost half the dogs and all the cats. Space was so limited the carriers were not as handy as they shou;d be in case of emergency also it was the area the fire was started. It was a sad day for many.All you can do is rebuild and keep going. I was mortified for the lost animals.
