Did you by chance watch the dog show last night? Even in the toy breed category, there is a Silky and a Yorkie. So obviously, they're two different breeds or the AKC wouldn't deem them as two different breeds. But if you're baby is registered a yorkie, chances are most likely, he's a Yorkie! lol He looks Yorkie to me.
