If I found out that the dog was rehomed without my permission, I would be very angry for sure.
But I would personally want to speak with the new owners, to assess their fitness for ownership. If I was comfortable then the dog would stay there. If not well I guess the lawyers would have to be involved.
How-ever I am thinking of co-owning all pups I sell, not just any I may place in show homes. That means here ownership can not be changed unless two people sign the transfer of ownership form. Of course the simplest way around that is not to change ownership over. |
ditto here , I only had a lady cancelled her deposit, she told me that her hubby had lost his job and they could no longer afford the baby, it was the only time I refunded a full deposit also,I have an open door policy for my dogs and will be VERY angry if I found out one of my dogs was rehome or surrender to shelter under any circumstances. I am the second contact in the microchip and will take my dogs back and any time for any reason,in a surrender manner.. is clearly stipulated in my contract.
