I shopped before I got Harley, I had too, I also brought a toy to the breeders once he was born so that his litter and momma could play with it before he came home, that way when I brought him home he came with something that smelled like family. It's still his favorite toy 2 years later.
Plus I don't know how many times I set up and organized all his blankets and toys in his bed, I was nesting sooo bad, you would have thought I was pregnant! lol,
But I agree with someone above who said that it splits the costs up. If you buy a little here and there, then it's not as bad.
