Yorkies are prone to a type of stress intestinal upset, and as with many intestinal issues, a very small amount of blood (strand-like) may show up in the stool as a result. It has something to do with the lining of the intestines being shed. It should clear up in a day or two. If it continues or the amount of blood increases, antibiotics may be necessary to prevent a secondary infection in the intestines.
