I wondered about that, too, but they never said. Tibbe would have been barking his head off - report said it took them a long time to actually break in and Tibbe would have been foaming at the mouth by then he would have barked so much! I'll bet the GSD was not there or crated or surely they would not have tried to come in if they had heard that big dog on the other side of the door!
