I would honestly be scared to death to stay even one night in my home without the security of knowing I have a gun and a way to protect myself. Once I was broken into and my gun stolen - nothing else taken - and my neighbor gave me one of their guns until I bought another. Turns out I am pretty sure that it was the neighbor's druggy grandson staying with them for a few weeks who broke into my house and I think my neighbor knew it and felt guilty. I had given the kid my key to do some painting while I was at work and I think he had a copy made. No damage was done to the house when the gun was stolen - no actual break-in - which was a dead giveaway - but he'd opened the window to make it look like that's how he got in. Didn't break the window - just opened it. Anyway, even suspecting it was that kid that got in, I was very scared not to have a gun and when Lucy offered one of their own, I gladly took it! But I replaced my gun that weekend and any time I hear a noise that worries me, I certainly am glad I have a gun!!!
And I sure thank God that poor girl had one and used it! Did anybody see her beautiful German Sherpherd Dog she had on the news? It sure was pretty. I hope that poor young woman's life goes a lot smoother from now on than it has gone recently. | Yes I did see the GSD and I wondered where it was the night of the break-in. ^Perhaps crated. IDK. But GSD are pretty territorial and I can#t imagine a GSD not barking when she was calling 911.
