Our 13 week old, 1.7 lb male yorkie has an open fontanel. He is otherwise energetic, healthy and intelligent. The breeder says she would exchange him for another puppy but our family is already attached to him. There is a chance the fontanel will close in time, though. Should we exchange him now to avoid future health problems and futher attachment or should we wait and see?
