Well, you should ask them that if they think a Silky and a Yorkie are the same thing, then why are they calling him a "Silky"? . Yorkies were originally bred to be around 14 pounds. This thread will result with a lot of YTers telling you how big their purebred Yorkies are. Your boy is adorable! A lot of them don't have the coats that are long and perfect looking and never will not matter what you do. There are things to improve the coat such as good food, shampoo, vitamins and so forth. Also, never brush your Yorkie dry. Spritz on water or leave-in conditioner for dogs. You do have a big boy there, but I'm sure you won't have to worry so much about all the things you do when they are tiny. Enjoy your YORKIE....that's my vote!
