Ah ha ... I got you on this one - because this thread is titled "The last person to post in this thread wins" - means that
when I am the last person to post - I WIN. The
last person indicates that it is over (or the end) as you have stated above. So, I suppose when someone posts "I win" they are correct
at the time of their post -
HOWEVER. the next person to post (or the new last person) should come back and say, I'm sorry you are no longer the last person to post
