It's just so infuriating that the long haired adults are all grand, yet the short haired baby gets tangles!? I think she did it on purpose
Good plan! the detangler or even just regular conditioner helps tremendously in getting mats out. I soak mats in either and then work from the ends of the mat toward the skin slowly picking them apart. Sometimes i'll use thinning shears to break apart the mat if its a big one.

I'd also be going back to the groomer to get a refund.
