Default Pawing at face

So Geno has been fairly well behaved but recently he's been starting to paw at our faces. I'm the type of owner that loves to get in his face and give him little kisses but I think he thinks I'm playing or whatever and he'll paw at my face. I can't blame him for doing it but it's obviously a behavior that should be corrected. Due to him pawing last night, his claw caught my nose and gave me a bloody nose. He seems to do this to other dogs as well. Have any of your puppies done this? If so, how did you correct it?

This just started maybe 2-3 weeks ago. When he first would do it, I would tell him, "don't paw mommy's money maker" haha Obviously that isn't going to teach him to not do it. And for a little bit, I figured it was cause he thought we were playing but now it's to the point that he needs to stop it.
