I feel the same way. If you're sick, stay home! Luckily I can work from home as well, so if I'm well enough to work, I'll stay there and do it. If I'm not well enough, I just stay in bed!
I feel the same way about school too. I remember when I was young and some teachers would give prizes at the end of the year for perfect attendance. A friend of mine wanted that prize so bad, she came to school every single day, and she even came with strep throat! I caught it, and quite a few others did too. But no matter what, she wanted that little trophy.
