I agree with Nancy's above post. Many times, we want to feed our dogs what's best (and we compare it to what we would need from our diet) and many times hear loads of holistic/organic/raw food propoganda from the media.
IMO it just depends what your dog does best on. Gizmo has been on a range from Orijen to Science Diet. Each did different things to his system. But, what it came down to is Gizmo has alot of food allergies and RC RX is what seems to be working best for him, for now.
However, I pray those who are fixated on the holistic food band wagon or raw band wagon never have a dog that has high sensativities (whether it be allergy or to protein/fat).
What it comes down to is you know your dog, you have your own beliefs on what is best, and that's what you need to base you decision on. Because when it comes down to it, you'll end up on a debating merry-go-round with regards to what's best to feed your furbaby.
