Bubba and Sissy know the word "carrot" and they run to the refrigerator. They also understand "go get a drink", "want to go for a walk/ride",and Bubba understands "go get me a ball", "no not that one, the other one". Of course they both understand "do you want a treat". They also understand when I say, "Mommy is going to work-go say goodbye (they run to the living room, get up on the chair by the window and watch me leave)". My dh says they also understand "it's time for Mommy to come home (and they wait by the kitchen door)". Bubba understands "want to go see Dr. S----, he loves the vet." . They both understand "want a bath (because they both disappear)". Heaven know what else they understand, sometimes it's scarey. They also recognize places.
They know the road to the park, the road to my daughters house and our road and get excited when we turn onto those roads.
