I started Scooter out with the dyer on low and I didn't even blow it on him. I just let it make it's noise for a minute or so. Then I gradually let the air blow on him. He didn't like it at first and it did take awhile but now he's ok with it. Don't ever use hot air because you could burn your baby without even knowing it. Most of the time I just towel dry Scoot and let him air dry. I think the dryer is hard on his skin and drys it out. Good luck.
