We have fostered for our local kill animal shelter and have taken in a few dogs off the street and it's definitely hard, but you just have to remember that if you keep them all, you won't be able to foster. The last little guy was the hardest because my two really loved him. We also took in an orphaned kitten (4 weeks old) and I cried when he went to his new home. I still get Facebook updates and get to see pictures all of the time, so I know I made the right decision.
Just stay positive and know you are helping an animal that otherwise would be euthanized. |
