Hmm interesting question. I really don't know the answer to this, but from my understanding, you only need to worry if things have changed. If at one time poops were much wider and now they're skinny, it could be an indication of a tumor, but if they've always been skinny, I guess it coud be narrow intestines.

Lots of the dog food they are making is so digestable that poops are really small, and that's why some people think giving additonal fiber is important.
