I am an 8th grade math teacher and yes I love my job. I will not lie and tell you that I don't get frustrated at times because I do. Some people think teachers have an easy job but really we don't. I spend lots of time at home creating my lessons and grading papers. But every time one of my students "get it" it reminds me of why I love my job. My first year as a teacher I had a very quiet student. The last day of school she wrote me a letter and put a picture of her in the envelope. She told me how much I meant to her and how much I had helped her to be successful. I cried like a baby. I remember telling my friends, this is why I teach! There is nothing in the world like seeing a student being successful. The pay is tough and I too have to supplement by doing tutoring. With that said, if I had it to all over again I would still chose teaching. So yes, I love my job!
