My intent was a playmate companion for Brody...so I went looking for as close a match as I could find. I considered a fairly narrow age spread and similar breed mindset so they would have 'like' interests...'like' energy levels, etc...either another Yorkie or Yorkie mix...Maltie, perhaps. We took Brody with us to see Mia and they got along instantly. I lucked out completely. Both these babies were '
supposed' to come here! They have been very good for each other...a complimentary pair...learning from each other as well as from us. Being so similar, they also are great buddies with Sunny, who we still get to babysit from time to time.
I'd
like to be smart enough to tell you what to do...but you'll be better at deciding than me.
However, if I
had to commit to an answer, I'd say, "It doesn't hurt to look. You'll get a better idea what you want, and if, and when, you want it. When all
is 'right' you'll just 'know' and everything will work out!" That's how it's been for me, anyway.
Oh, and we'll be here waiting for the pix to go up!
