When I bought the gel, it said you weren't supposed to brush with it, but just rub it on their teeth and brush the tartar away at a later time. Some people say that their petzlife says you can brush with it, so I don't know if they've changed their formula, but I wouldn't want my dog to swallow much since it does contain alcohol. I use the CET toothpaste, and I prefer the petzlife spray, it's so much easier to apply in my opinion, but I'm in the minority on this.
