No problem! A lot of people think that. And a lot of vets ARE still giving them yearly. It's completely unnecessary though.

As far as Jackson, he received DHPP at 8 weeks, DHLPP at 12 weeks (but had a reaction to the 'L' - never will he get it again), DHPP at 16 weeks, then rabies at 6 months. At 1 year old, he had the DHPP booster as well as rabies booster.

But from here on out, I may not ever give him anything else except rabies as required by law every 3yrs in MD. He would be due for DHPP at 4 years old according to my vet, but it's not the law, and I may opt to titer instead.
