My Lucy has mild MVD and I know she tires much more quickly than my Westie. A long walk will leave her happily snuggling/napping the rest of the day while Ringo is still raring to go.
However, if you think she might have gotten into some higher protein food - I would be calling my Vet considering the holiday week-end.
