blockage? What are symptoms and things I need to look for to know if Callie has a blockage? Here's what happened. Ever sense Callie got her LP surgery my grandma is adamant that Callie sleeps in her play pen in the living room at night until she is 100% and that my grandma sleeps in the living room with her until my grandpa who is an early riser like way early riser gets up and reads his paper and stuff and keeps an eye on her until I get up at 9am and take her out to potty, for her walk, and to eat. Callie is a lot better and would be fine sleeping in the nice comfy crate I have in my room but I guess my grandparents feel this is there contribution to helping out with her after her surgery sense they can't pick her up and stuff. Paying for the surgery was enough for me as there contribution and I do plan to pay them back but they really love Callie and there is no changing there mind and at some point you gotta let it go and let them do what makes them happy as long as its not hurting Callie which its not. Anyway she had a 12" bully stick in her play pen and was chewing on it last night, well I took her out at 12am for her last potty break and got her all ready for bed and tucked in and apparently after I went to bed she got up and grabbed her bone and chewed on it some more and when she stopped chewing my grandma went to check and see how small the bone was and it was gone. I checked her pen twice and it is not in there so she had to have swallowed some of it. She can chew down a bone pretty fast so I figure she got it down pretty small before she ate it but she has never eaten one all the way before normally I tell her to drop it and she gives it to me when its to small. I feel terrible because before her surgery I would never ever let her have bones in the bedroom at night when it was bedtime and sense she has never woke up in her pen to chew on them after I tucked her in I thought it was ok but I should have known better then to leave the bone in there at bedtime. I now will never ever leave a bone in there at bedtime again but what are her chances of having a blockage, what are the symptoms, what do I need to look for and when do you think the symptoms would start to show? She did her morning poop this morning and ate her food with no problem and was acting live her normally goofy self.
