Blue Buffalo is 464 calories per cup. The amount you are feeding should be enough, especially with added treats, for a pup his size and activity level.
Puppies need more food than adults. At about 8 months to 1 year, you will have to start cutting back the amount you feed. Thus, you definitely don't want to give in to begging for more food. Distract him with indoor play.
The ultimate gauge for whether you are feeding the correct amount is your pup's body. He should always have a visible waist and tuck (the tummy area is higher than the chest). You should be able to feel ribs without squeezing too hard. If you are still in doubt, during your next visit to the vet, ask whether your pup is in good body condition.
