I have not rescued from a shelter or rescue, but I was looking for an adult yorkie when I got Nigel. He was my MIL and she says she got him from a shelter. We took him ( I can lie and say my DH asked nicely) from her because she was not taking care of him. Gizmo was given to me by a friend who bought him and decided she did not want him. When I look for my next baby. Hopefully not anytime soon. I plan to look at rescues or shelters again.
