I have seen light grow darker in several different occasions, the very obvious one is when a mommy has a litter, she goes lighter and after she recovers her hair starts to change to darker again. I also have seen the change when we changed foods, but not every yorkie we had at the time changed... only 2... they went lighter we changed back to the old food they got darker again .
