It is not uncommon for them to not have milk before the puppies are born. Also, I have had girls that even when their milk was in - you couldn't express milk but the puppies had no problem nursing.
It is also not uncommon for them to not be big eaters the last few days before the puppies are born. Also thier meals will also be smaller and more frequent.
One puppy litters can be the hardest to whelp as the puppy tends to be larger than puppies of a multiple puppy litter. So if you are not experienced at pulling puppies, find someone in your area that is and that is willing to help with delivery if needed.
