I will try and answer some of your questions, since I have been using the washable pads for about 4 years now.

1. How will she know that the potty pad is good to potty on, but that the blanket we use to snuggle with on our bean bag;is NOT for potty?

Well, this will take some training, because at first, she may not know the difference. One thing that helps is always putting the potty pad in the same place (not near any throw rugs)

2. It says "leakproof material" but what is it?

Basically, it is the same thing as the leakproof pads used for hospital beds. It is like a plastic material (but it's not actually plastic - feels kinda like an outdoor tablecloth)

As for the Nature's Miracle pad, I'm not exactly sure what that is, but if you put the new pad in the same place that she is using now, that will help her understand this is where she has to go. It may help to put the old one on top of the new one until she "gets it".
