Gawd, sometimes I think ppl are inside my head when I type. I don't know if you want to know these details but; neutering stops some hormones from coursing through the system, which affects how much bones grow in relationship to one another. Early neutering prior to closing of growth plates can and does affect how long the bones grow. This creates a problem with joint articulations; how each joint is meant to conform to the one above/below it. This is turn may predispose a dog to CCL and LP not to mention HD. /cranial Cruciate Ligament tears/ruptures, Luxating Patellas, and Hip Dysplasia.
