I honestly do not understand that concept. I was a single Mom and still had time to care for my beloved maltese. Did he have to take a backseat for a while? Absolutley, YES. Newborns take up a lot of time.
But Casper was my FIRST baby, my loyal and faithful friend; and I could not imagine giving him up simply because I had a baby.
There was room in my heart and in my life for both.
