Oh, be super careful with that. If you take her out every time she cries or barks, you are teaching her that she can get her way by being noisy. As hard as it is, try waiting until she quiets down before you take her out of a pen or a crate. It will be rough at first, but that behavior will never stop otherwise. That one was my hardest lesson when we got our first dog... the barking is obnoxious and the crying pulls your heartstrings. But it'll be better in the end if you can tough it out a bit now.

Most other things can be fixed over time with patience and consistency. Potty training will definitely try your patience but it'll be okay in the end. (I think. We're still working on it in our house!) And the folks here have great advice.
