That was exactly my experience with many things. I got lots of eyerolls over the car seat until dad saw how it alleviated Max's anxiety in the car. The harnesses he thought were outrageous until he saw how well they fit and how easy they were for him to put on the dogs.
Shampoo, conditioner, and anything grooming related -- now even dad has his favorites and tells me what to buy for the dogs.
