Welcome to YT. I'm sorry about the loss of Bradley. It's tough to lose them.

I would limit his indoor space via baby gates, or even a playpen if you cannot watch him. If you feed him on a regular schedule, then you should learn when he needs to go potty and take him out regularly. Praise him royally. Yorkies respond well to praise, as well as a tiny treat upon going in the proper place.

I assume you don't allow him to run freely outdoors, but with a leash or in a fenced yard. Predators, such as hawks and coyotes, prey upon little yorkies, such as the one you now have. Andy is about half the size of your previous yorkie.

As far as his attachment to you, I wouldn't worry about that so much. It may change, in time, but yorkies pick out their person and there is little that can be done about that. Whoever takes him for his walks, feeds him, plays with him, and takes him out to potty will usually reap the reward of being his best buddy.

I was going to add that Fromm's is an excellent food. That is one of the two that I mix. The other is Natural Balance. It really is a much better quality of food than Iams.
