Okay neutering won't exactly affect the growth plates. But recent research indicates neutering should not happen prior growth plates closing; that is why a lateral view of the tibia should be done as this is the last growth plate to close. What is done is done.

Okay you can see a surgeon while your boy is still in a splint. But please try to remember to mention the slow maturation of the teeth. This can be indicative of other metabolic disorders.
