Default Potty Training is a nightmare!

I have to give Holly credit, she pees when taken out and if we don't get her out in time she will go to the pad to pee. She never pees or poops in her crate.

BUT....pooping is a nightmare! She hates to spend the time outside to try. She looks at me like what do you think I am, a dog? She pees then runs to go back inside. I put her back in the crate for a while, take her back out and eventually we will have success. What is so bad, it's like she will squeeze out whatever just to come back in then run and poop somewhere in the house. How do I get her to do it in a more timely manner so we aren't spending so much time in/out/in/out/in/out, etc? Does it just come with age? She is almost 9 months....
