If he is actually gasping then surely he needs a vet? But in saying Thst, my pups are all usually quiet, so not crying wouldn't concern me- excessive crying would- but the gasping is cause for concern. If he was in the sac long then he may unfortunately have irreparable damage, so... Vet.
